Fraud Checks

For this project, I helped design the journey and wrote all the copy for that bit in the Barclays app where you try to send money to someone you’ve sent it to one hundred times before and the bank goes, ‘Are you sure your grandson isn’t funding a militant coup in Sodor, or worse, a crypto-scammer?’.

I can near guarantee you this is more interesting without the screenshots. And if you think I’d lie about writing an end-to-end UX journey then please message me on LinkedIn and we’ll go for a drink so you can see I’m not that much of a crashing bore.

I enjoyed having to work out all of the potential ways people might try to send their money to the wrong person, and writing in gradually harsher tones when the ‘Risk-o-meter’ was flashing red after the user answered questions that made it clear something wasn’t right.

Oh, and the ‘Risk-o-meter’ makes this website look like the Sistine Chapel.
